Jr NTR is coming up with Devara next which is scheduled for theatrical debut on the 27th of September which is around two months from now.

Now, there is a new social media buzz surrounding the project and it is regarding the addition of a new member to the cast. It is reported that Bollywood actor Bobby Deol has been roped in for an antagonist role in the film.
Incidentally, Bobby isn’t the first Bollywood actor to onboard the film. He joins the likes of other Bollywood faces Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor who are already a part of the project.

Having so many Bolly faces including Saif, Janhvi, and Bobby in the film isn’t expected from a rooted mass actioner that has NTR and Koratala Siva involved.
While this might add up prospects in the Hindi belt for Devara, having so many Hindi faces will take a dent in the nativity factor.

This was earlier seen in the case of Prabhas’s Adipurush where the presence of so many Bolly faces didn’t appease the Telugu folk. The presentation was obviously downright bad, but the Hindi cast didn’t help the Telugu prospects one bit.
Now, in the case of Devara, Koratala must take away the Bolly flavour by presenting the characters in such an honest manner that the audience don’t mind who is playing them. The safer option would have been to cast known South faces so there is instant connect factor here.
