Several big names like Novotel, Sheraton and Green Park have began their ground work like acquiring land, entering in to partnerships with prominent business groups several months ago. But things did not move much since then. Most of these hoteliers are of the opinion that with out government shifting here, there will not be much activity here to make their business profitable.

The recent announcement of the Chief Minister Chadnrababu Naidu administering the state for three days a week from Vijayawada also did not evoke much enthusiasm from them. They feel the current hotels will be enough to accommodate the flow which Naidu brings. To expand the scope, the shift should be permanent.
