Top singer's birth day turns sad day

Bharat Ratna winner singer Lata Mangeshkar was all set to celebrate her 86th Birthday on Monday when a sad news turned the celebratory atmosphere into mourning in in the Mangeshkar household in Peddar Road. The news was about the passing of Asha Bhosle’s second-born son, the well known music director Hemant Bhosle.

Hemant Bhosle had been fighting cancer for a while now until Monday when he finally succumbed to the disease. He was in Scotland at the time of his death where he had been living since the last five years. Meanwhile, Asha Bhosle had just flown in from Singapore where she was doing a concert.

Both Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle had no comment regarding the news but a family friend told media that they met and tried to console each other.
