Hero Nikhil had a release this Friday in the form of Surya vs Surya. Like we had said before it’s release it was test for actor in that he had to convert his goodwill earned through films like Swamy Ra Ra and Karthikeya into numbers at box office. So what is the result?
It is a good news indeed for the actor. Yes the actor has managed to convert the goodwill into numbers and that could be seen with the reception of Surya vs Surya at ticket counter. The film actually had fall short of the standards set by the previous films of the actor but still the audience went in good numbers to see the film. The opening day numbers were good followed by Holiday collections. It slowed down on Saturday but again Sunday is looking good. All of this points at a very good weekend for the film.
Coming to the film itself it clearly could have been better. The talk of it too is not similar to the previous films and hence the occupancies have been lower. It suggests that the actor has still not yet got the blind trust from the people to throng to the theaters and he needs to be on his toes and come up with excellent subjects or at least good engaging stuff with a difference.
