Trailer Talk: Intense But Still Lacking Killer Kabali Punch

If there were still any doubts regarding the political ambition of Kaala and the politics it involves after the teaser and the audio, the trailer bares it all. Well, that seems to be the idea to make the intentions clear.

The trailer has less style and packs in more intensity. The latter factor prominently stands out along with the conscious effort to highlight Nana Patekar. But there is an abrupt feel to the cut, and the whole thing comes across as one last attempt to boost the hype. However, the killer punch of Kabali is still missing. It is much needed for the Telugu version compared to the Tamil, though.

Check out the trailer below. Rajinikanth unites with his Kabali director Pa Ranjith for Kaala. It is going to hit screens worldwide in a record number of screens on June 7th. Will it be able to recreate the Kabali euphoria? We have to wait and watch.
