Vijay Influencing Trisha’s Choices After Becoming CM?

The much-discussed multi-starrer bringing together Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan has already become one of the hottest talking points in Tamil cinema circles.

However, behind the scenes, director Nelson Dilipkumar is reportedly facing major challenges in locking the final cast and balancing multiple pressures simultaneously.

The director is currently busy handling Jailer 2 while also preparing this ambitious multi-starrer. Amid that, recent Chennai industry buzz strongly suggested that Trisha Krishnan had almost agreed to play one of the female leads in the film. Reports even claimed the makers were ready to pay her nearly Rs. 12 crores as remuneration to secure her dates.

But now, fresh Kollywood gossip suggests the situation may have suddenly changed.

According to ongoing rumors in Tamil media circles, Trisha may step away from the project despite the huge offer. Interestingly, the reason being discussed is political rather than cinematic.

Red Giant Movies is one of the production banners associated with the project. Since the company is closely linked to the family of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin and largely operated by Udhayanidhi Stalin, rumors have now started connecting politics with casting decisions.

Tamil media discussions are speculating that Vijay, who is reportedly in a relationship with Trisha, may have informally advised her to avoid associating herself with films linked to rival political parties.

None of these rumors have received any official confirmation so far.

Udhayanidhi Stalin has remained at the centre of several political controversies in recent years, including debates connected to Sanatana Dharma remarks and opposition attacks against the government. Because of that backdrop, Vijay may indeed advise Trisha not to sign projects related to Stalin.

Interestingly, Trisha already shares a long professional history with Kamal Haasan through films like Manmadan Ambu, Thoongaa Vanam, and Thug Life. She also acted in Rajinikanth’s Petta which was a decent success.

Even then, insiders claim Trisha is still interested in this new project because of the enormous prestige attached to a Rajinikanth-Kamal Haasan combination directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.

Meanwhile, Trisha’s immediate focus remains on her upcoming releases. She will next appear in Vishwambhara opposite Chiranjeevi. She is also awaiting updates regarding the much-delayed Ram alongside Mohanlal.

At the same time, her latest release Karuppu with Suriya has reportedly opened well despite receiving mixed talk. The first-day openings were decent, while the second-day collections reportedly took a big jump. The film is on its way to emerge a success in Tamil.

Vijay’s victory as CM and now Karuppu’s success have reportedly given much relief to Trisha after a difficult phase where several of her recent films flopped badly, except Ponniyin Selvan.
