Two Big Encounters – one each in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana startled the people in both the states. It is said that early this morning, some Red Sandal smugglers at two different places in Seshachalam forest, tried to attack the Special Police Team and Forest officers who are combing the region. Firing took place from both the sides and 20 smugglers have lost their lives in this encounter. Two Police officers are grievously wounded.
On the other side, in an encounter that took place on National Highway in Aleru-Janagama route, five including ISI Terrorist Vikaruddin were killed. The Terrorists tried to escape while they are being taken to Hyderabad from Warangal jail. They tried to attack the Police who later fired and killed all the five on spot.
Both the state DGPs are investigating in to the incident. Central Intelligence Agency had sought report on Telangana encounter as the movement of terrorists are being traced in the state from the last few days.
