Two Dates for ‘2.0’ to Kill Openings

After astonishing fans postponing the release which was earlier scheduled to arrive on 27th April, the makers of Rajinikanth’s ‘2.0’ are said to be eyeing either the Independence Day release or Diwali release, this year.

If this update is true, as we have written in a previous article, a solo release for ‘2.0‘ is certainly a myth. Akshay Kumar starrer, a sports drama ‘Gold’ is going to come on the coming Independence Day. A clash of sorts will happen between Akshay Vs Akshay as Akshay Kumar has played the main characters in both the movies.

When we look at the Diwali release, the clash will be even bigger as Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan multi-starrer ‘Thugs of Hisdosthan’ is slated for Diwali release. In both the above-mentioned dates, ‘2.0’ has to share the screens, cut short its wider openings and that will definitely kill the opening collections of Shankar’s directorial. Let’s wait and see how the makers of ‘2.0’ are going to deal with this situation.
