It comes as a shocker that ‘2.0‘ has sacrificed the Summer slot and was postponed indefinitely. This Shankar’s directorial kept postponing from last year Diwali’s release and later even the Republic Day release.

The latest, the makers of ‘2.0’ had foregone the release date scheduled for this Summer on 27th April. So, when will Rajinikanth’s ‘2.0’ get another big solo release? Many of the biggies of the regional films have booked their slots for various holiday seasons.
Especially, Bollywood biggies aka the upcoming movies of Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar etc had booked their slots. In Tamil, there are three biggies releasing for the coming Diwali. So, ‘2.0’ is devoid of any release date that would give the scope for a solo release in 2018.
So, 2019 Sankranthi is the only respite for a solo release. But then, there would be others films eyeing at the festival season in January 2019. It’s hard to predict the probable release date of ‘2.0’.
