Director Siddharth Anand’s “Fighter,” starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, had a slow start in America but quickly gained momentum by the first weekend.
However, “Fighter” saw a decline after the first weekend, and many thought its theatrical run was over.
Nevertheless, the film’s current performance comes as a huge surprise to everyone. By the end of the day, “Fighter” is expected to reach $7 million, which is a commendable and huge gross considering its initial reception.
Additionally, “Fighter” now stands as Hrithik Roshan’s highest-earning film. If the movie had generated more hype before its release with a couple of solid songs and better promotions, it could have surpassed $10 million in the North American market.
As for “War 2,” it presents the next opportunity for Hrithik to achieve his first $10 million grosser in this market. However, he will be sharing the screen with South Indian hero Jr NTR.
