Ram Charan’s wife, Upasana, the Vice-Chairperson of Apollo Life often speaks about mental health and physical wellbeing. Now, an old video, in which Upasana speaks about medication and links it with Puranas (ancient literature) has surfaced on the internet and it is drawing polarized response.
In the video, Upasana says “Our Puranas say that before taking the medication, if you chant the Maha Mruthunjaya Mantra twice, it will work better on you. I read about it recently.”
This comment is drawing a mixed response. A few say Upasana, being an executive at one of India’s topmost hospital chains (Apollo) should not be promoting superstitions or unverified practices. They say she should be ashamed for making such a statement.
Others say, Upasana is just hinting about positivity and self belief which are instrumental in a person’s road to recovery. “Upasana’s intention is not to promote superstitions. She clearly said she just read about it. She did not ask anyone to actually to recite the Mantra before taking the medication.”
It has become common for social media users to look into every small aspect of celebrities’ lives and share remarks on every small comment they make.
