US BO: Balakrishna Crosses Ram Charan With Ease

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda is throwing a surprise and how! The movie was always expected to open huge, but it is doing so in all areas that many didn’t expect. In the US, Akhanda is going to cross Vinaya Vidheya Rama with ease.

The movie Vinaya Vidheya Rama is particularly evoked because it also happens to be helmed by Boyapati Srinu. Akhanda also comes from Boyapati, but this time the hero is Balakrishna and it’s a hat-trick combo. They previously delivered Simha and Legend.

Vinaya Vidheya Rama had a premiere gross of $181K. It then folded its run with less than $255K gross. Akhanda is expected to cross the full run of VVR with premieres itself. The pre-sales are indicating that way with close to $200K gross already (at the time we wrote this).

Akhanda is looking at a smashing opening worldwide. It hits cinemas all over on December 2nd. The premieres in the US will commence in a few hours from now.
