Vakkantham Clarifies on ‘Magaadu’ Comment

‘Naa Peru Surya’ wasn’t the same story Vakkantham scripted for NTR said the writer turned director in a couple of interviews. NTR’s story was exclusively scripted for the Nandamuri hero and hence, reserved for him, only.

“Allu Arjun is the ‘magaadu’ who made my direction dream come true”, said Vakkantham Vamsi at the pre-release event. This naturally irked NTR’s fans and Vakkantham Vamsi was trolled by a section of NTR’s fans. We know that Vakkantham is still waiting for NTR’s dates for the script he had reserved for NTR.

Clarifying on the ‘magaadu’ comment, the director said that it’s not easy for a debut director to get a chance to direct a star hero. Before he narrated NPS story to Allu Arjun, he wasn’t close to the stylish star like he has been with Tarak though he gave the story for ‘Race Gurram’. It was Nallamallapu Bujji who took him to the mega hero for the story narration. Even a small doubt from Allu Arjun would have hindered the project.
