Varun Tej’s Operation Valentine was released in theaters last month and ended up as a disappointment.
Along the problems like a lack of proper emotional connection, Varun Tej also faced a problem due to Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter which was released a month before his film.
Fighter and Operation Valentine are based on the same storyline – the Balakot attacks.
Due to that, there were comparisons and similarity feelings that hurt Operation Valentine.
Fighter budget is many times bigger than that of Operation Valentine’s but the audience does not consider that.
The movie was also released in Hindi but failed miserably.
Now, the movie arrived on OTT. Interestingly, it came on the same day when Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter arrived on Netflix.
Irrespective of content, there are some audiences who would like to see patriotic films at least on OTT.
But Fighter is a better option for them in all the ways. So, Varun Tej faced the same problem in theaters as well as on the OTT.
