He revealed that Tharun approached him with a script finally, and they locked it. He said a film in the combo of Vijay Deverakonda and Tharun Bhascker is going to happen soon.
Notably, Vijay scored his first blockbuster with Tharun’s Pelli Choopulu. Since then Vijay has grown leaps and bounds not only as an actor but also as a star. He aspires to be one of Tollywood’s biggest stars. However, Vijay must choose his projects and directors carefully to reach the pinnacle of stardom.
Tharun Bhascker is a whacky and exciting director but his films have limited appeal. His films belong to a niche that connects only to a section of the audience, particularly the urban audience.
With Vijay’s last true hit being over five years ago, he should focus on films that can elevate his stardom to the next level before considering a collaboration with Tharun Bhascker.
However, it is also possible that Vijay made this announcement just to create more hype for his friend Tharun Bhascker’s this week release Keedaa Cola. A film in their combination may or may not be on the cards.
