At the audio launch of Masala, Ram had lot to say about his co-star Venkatesh, whom he considers his big brother. He says he grew up wanting to be an actor watching films of Venkatesh. He said he still remembers that he watched Nuvvu Naaku Nachavu when he was in class seven, and since then he always wanted to be an actor.
Ram also said that Venky is a living legend, who is one of the pillars of Telugu industry. He added everybody should learn how to be simplistic and egoistic from him because he never lets his star status come between him and people around.
Ram and Venky are paired opposite in Masala, which is the Telugu remake of Bollywood blockbuster Bol Bachchan. He added that one of the highlights of the film will be songs shot in Japan. He added that they have shot in place in Japan, where no Telugu film before have been shot.
