Vijay Deverakonda Bats For History

Liger star Vijay Deverakonda has many interests, and one of the most intriguing ones amongst them seems to be history. He shared the same with his followers and also the reason for his ‘intrigue’.

Vijay Deverakonda is officially the brand ambassador of Telangana GHMC. The ‘history’, therefore, comes into the picture as Telengana’s Ramappa Temple is in the race to become the first World Heritage Site in Telangana. It is a natural extension of his original initiatives.

The Ramappa Temple from Telangana and Gujarat’s Dholavira, are nominated by India for UNESCO’s World Heritage Site status. The World Heritage Committee will review the nominations and pick one depending on the votes by the members.

The World Heritage Committee will convene in Fuzhou, China, soon. They will go through the list, which includes many sites from the world over. A final list of the nominees will be declared later. The committee members had previously inspected the site in February last year.

Professionally, Vijay Deverakonda is currently busy with Puri Jagannadh’s Liger. It is in the final stages of completion. Once it is done (and a release date locked), he will move on to Sukumar and Shiva Nirvana’s project next.
