With the talks of Vijayawada being the front runner for Andhra Pradesh’s new capital, the demand for commercial spaces in Vijayawada soared up in the last couple of weeks. It is said that commercial spaces are costing so much that small and medium scale businesses can not afford them. Most real estate brokers opine that Vijayawada could not cater the sudden demand and so there is an increase in the rentals.

But many business owners opine that there is no other way out if they have to stand a chance in the heavy competition. They hope the businesses flourish once the state capital is declared and the rents will then become viable. It is also said that Whether Vijayawada would become the capital of AP or not, many business houses would have their head offices in the city post bifurcation because of its central location.
