Vijayawada to get IMAX screen

People in Vijayawada can have an IMAX experience of their own pretty soon. A new multiplex that is currently under construction is reportedly going to contain an IMAX screen according to sources. It will be a digital IMAX screen and additionally all the screens will have an Auro 11.1 surround sound. This is the Trendset Mall that is being readied near the Benz circle in the city.

Vijayawada is the capital city of the new state of Andhra Pradesh and naturally and investors are showing interest in it. The city was also once known as the movie capital of Telugu films, so it was no surprise that such plans were being made but for it to be made so quickly is surely a surprising news.

Suresh Distributions in association with Asian Cinemas have currently leased this multiplex which is expected to be launched by Sankranthi, if all the legalities fall into place.
