Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is known for his straightforward no-nonsense talk on any topic. This time, he has gone off about porn as he explained the technological advancements in the porn industry.
“If you take any digital advancement in the streaming and screening arena, it will first be implemented in the porn industry. VCRs and DVDs were first invented for the porn industry in order to increase its reach. Then came online streaming which was again invented and tested in the porn industry.” Anurag said in his latest podcast.
Anurag says porn drives the technological revolution globally as he further added that HD streaming was also first introduced in the porn industry. He attributes the ongoing VR experience and POV filmmaking techniques also to the porn industry.
Well, Anurag’s take on porn has indeed caught the attention on social media. While we can’t dig deep to analyze his claim of technological innovations in that particular stream, his revelations do look believable.
Now, a few funky Hyderabadi social media users who have listened to Anurag’s podcast are calling for Hyderabad’s PCX screen to take the tech revolution forward by screening porn in the theater. Now this is out of the equation, but a funky call nevertheless.
