The most awaited clash between War 2 and Coolie is finally here, with the U.S. premieres starting in just a few hours. War 2 goes first at around 5 p.m. EST (2:30 a.m. IST), followed by Coolie a couple of hours later. Both films have sparked plenty of chatter over their star casts, hype levels, and expectations.
However, there is one crucial factor that sets them apart. If there is a single star with stakes in both films, it is Jr NTR. For Hrithik Roshan or Rajinikanth, these are big projects but not career-defining ones. For NTR, though, the outcome could be game-changing.
With Devara, an average event film that still succeeded commercially due to his stardom, NTR has already proven his box office pull. If War 2 delivers and his role impresses opposite Hrithik, he could join the league of Prabhas and Allu Arjun, making a powerful entry into Bollywood with wide acceptance. A setback here, however, would be just as impactful in the opposite way.
