August 14, 2025, is shaping up to be one of the biggest days for Indian cinema, as War 2 and Coolie are set to release globally. War 2 belongs to the YRF Spy Universe and brings together Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR in a high-voltage action drama. Meanwhile, Coolie marks the first collaboration between director Lokesh Kanagaraj and superstar Rajinikanth, generating massive curiosity across the country.
Both films are led by powerhouse actors and are expected to take a massive opening on Day 1 in India. Fans are eagerly waiting to see their favorite stars in action, romance, and dance sequences. Despite War 2’s trailer receiving a mixed response, the established YRF Spy Universe and the franchise’s popularity may drive strong numbers overseas. Given Jr. NTR’s global presence after RRR, expectations are still high. Meanwhile, Coolie, even if it doesn’t surpass Pathaan or War 2, may still deliver Rajinikanth’s biggest international hit yet, setting the stage for future milestones.
