M9 News Journalist Nishant sat with Niharika Konidela whose maiden production film, Committee Kurrollu is releasing on August 9th.
The actress-turned-producer says Committee Kurrollu is a family predominantly about friendship but it will touch on topics like Village Festivals, Village Politics, Caste Discrimination, Reservations, etc.
She explained the difficulties in making caste-related subjects as intense and as gut-wrenching as Tamil films. She narrated the difficulties with the Censor, the mentality of the audience, etc.
Niharika also said how she is not a namesake producer and travels with the film right from the script stage to the shoot locations.
We also asked her about how the family felt when Allu Arjun campaigned for a YSR Congress when Pawan Kalyan and Nagababu were working hard for the Janasena Party.
“Even though everyone is family, everyone has a choice to do what they want to do. But if I am in the same shoes, I would always say Family is first,” she said.
