WhatsApp brings unwanted panic in Mumbai!

A Whatsapp message created unwanted panic in the Mumbai residents. The message reads as “Mumbai local trains are on high alert. 6 ISIS terrorists have landed Mumbai and threatened to destroy Mumbai local trains. Please be alert and take care,”

The message also accompanied by a link which redirects to the leading news channel report. If one can notice the news in the link carefully wherein it describes alert on Jan 21 from Intelligences to the Government Railway Police(GRP) on possible attack from the terrorists. The Mumbai Police refused the rumours in its official Twitter account quoting that “Rumour alert- Please don’t believe in rumors about a threat to local trains,”

Earlier in 2006, there was deadly attack on the Mumbai Railway stations by Terrorists. On the eve of Republic day on Jan26, Intelligence agencies cautioned police on possioble extreme group attacks in some places.
