Whatsapp complaint hotline – the next big thing!

All those using Smart phone will need no introduction of popular internet messaging app, Whatsapp. After replacing the tradition SMS culture, Whatsapp is now serving as complaint hotline for the citizens to reach out the authorities sooner and at free of cost.

Delhi Traffic Police have started Whatsapp complaint hotline in October last year and they have got nearly 85,000 complaints regarding traffic violations and related issues and so far action has been taken in over 7,500 of them after due verification.

Apart from the complaints, proofs regarding corruption in Traffic Police in the form of pictures and videos are also being submitted to this hotline ensuring discipline in the department too. Several state Traffic and Police departments are taking cue from Delhi and are planning to implement this Whatsapp complaint hotline.
