Who is this joker Radhika Apte?

Tollywood and Telugu movie lovers are presently breathing fire on ‘Legend’ heroine Radhika Apte for her latest comments on Telugu Film Industry branding it as ‘Male Chauvinist’ and patriarchal. As she has worked with only Balakrishna in Telugu, the star hero’s fans are fuming on Radhika for her comments on actors in Telugu. Actor Naresh is the first person from the industry who took to his twitter to blast the actress said she spelled Tollywood instead of Bollywood by mistake.

Radhika did films in six languages and some of them won her critical acclaim for her performances. But all those films happen to be alongside upcoming heroes and middle age actors turning heroes. It is in the Telugu film industry she got a chance to star alongside a superstar like Balakrishna in ‘Legend’.

Be it Bollywood, Kollywood or Marathi Film Industry, star heroes throwing tantrums on sets of their films isn’t a new thing. Male domination is everywhere, not just in Tollywood. The only thing is, Radhika didn’t get to taste the male chauvinism in other industries as she starred alongwith upcoming heroes of her own stature.

When the truth remains that there are many tales about superstars’ male domination and actresses succumbing to their whims even in Bollywood, it leaves a bad taste in mouth when Radhika spoke in length badly on Tollywood. People here are really cross on her and saying who cares if she doesn’t want to act in Telugu.
