Why Nag used the wrist watch of ANR?

Nagarjuna’s ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ is creating all good buzz and soon going to hit theaters. The trailers of the movie have set the tone right for the positive publicity reminding the audiences of Nag’s village guy character he had done long back. Adding to the buzz, Nag revealed on the things used for SCN.

Nag used the wrist watch of his father, legendary Akkineni Nageshwar Rao in the film and also the dhoti’s which ANR had used in his films in which he played a village guy. ANR bought this wrist watch in 1959. Nag says he is fully satisfied with his character ‘Bangarraju’ in SCN.

ANR had a successful spree of characters portraying the roles in pure village backdrop with Telugu nativity. Inspired by his numerous such films, Nag took care to get the same kind of look for his SCN. For senior Akkineni fans, this would be a treat to see ANR’s watch and panchekattu (dhoti) once again on screen.
