Why PK became the need of the hour?

In the present political and religious scenario, the name of god and godmen is becoming more and more discussed and debated. Admist the news of conversions and various political parties too getting involved in the fight against conversions into another religion but propagating conversions into their faith (religion), the arrival of Aamir Khan’s PK is like exposing nude what is happening in the name of God.

In PK we can see godmen referred to as ‘managers of religion’ based on the self proclaimed gimmicks these godmen are playing. The line ‘Jo Dar Gaya, Woh Mandir Gaya’, shows worshipping God out of fear and not out of devotion. In the film, PK (Aamir) checks the religion of the newborn if there is any stamp on them but finds none and understands that by appearance (clothes) alone, we know to what religion a person belongs.

PK, came at the right time. The time when a lot is going on in the name of God and faith. While PK doesn’t question the existence of God, it naturally questions the drama going on in the society in the name of God and how godmen are playing important role in creating fear for God rather than devotion for God.
