Will Anushka’s prayers be answered?

It is public knowledge that the shooting of Gunasekhar’s magnum opus, Rudramadevi is complete. However, in what should come across as a pleasant surprise to Tollywood producers, it is believed that Anushka Shetty conducted a special puja praying for the success of Rudramadevi. Anushka had given her best for the film and put in a lot of effort which to say the least was out of the ordinary

Gunasekhar is also staking his reputation, career and financial health on this project. In this context, it is heartening to see Anushka praying for the success of the film. And to simplify matters further, she is not in need of a success at this stage in her career, having already proved herself long ago.

Anushka plays the title role of Rudramadevi, a warrior princess of the Kakatiya dynasty. Allu Arjun plays Gona Ganna Reddy in the film and Rana Daggubati plays Chalukya Veerabhadra, Prince of Nidavardhya Puram. The movie is set in 13th century BC and soundtrack and background score have been composed by Ilayaraja.
