As the release of Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 draws near, the director has shared an exciting update about the film’s music.
Director Shankar posted a picture on Twitter with music directors Anirudh Ravichander and AR Rahman, revealing that some themes from the original Indian will be featured in Indian 2.
AR Rahman composed the music for the 1996 hit, while Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the sequel. Initially, fans questioned why Rahman was replaced in the sequel.
While the music of Indian 2 hasn’t become as popular as the iconic soundtrack of the first film, composed by AR Rahman, Anirudh has done his part.
Though the songs haven’t topped the charts, Anirudh’s strength lies in his background scores, and fans are hopeful he will surpass his previous works with Indian 2.
With AR Rahman’s themes from the original being incorporated into the sequel, there’s growing speculation about whether Rahman’s iconic background music will overshadow Anirudh’s efforts.
Will Rahman steal the spotlight in what is considered Anirudh’s strong zone, the background score?
We’ll soon find out, as reviews for Indian 2 will be out in just a few hours. Stay tuned for the review of Indian 2.
