Director Vijay is all set to marry actress Amala Paul, who is a Christian, in June this year. According to reports, there’s a buzz that Amala has requested Vijay to convert to Christianity, to which he refused. Apparently, Vijay loved Amala for the person she is and not with the intention of converting for her.
He said that he will not convert and neither will he expect her to convert because he feels people should be free to follow the religions they wish to follow and never forced to follow. He said he will remain a Hindu even after his wedding with Amala.
Meanwhile. there are reports that Amala is missing projects because of her sudden announcement of her wedding. There are rumours that the makers of Vastha Ne Venuka are planning to drop her from the project and instead choose someone else in her place.
