There is a generally visible good buzz on the movie thanks to the massy poster designs. It is similar to what one witnessed with Kabali. The posters were very creative and freshly showcased the Superstar at this late age. However, it was the teaser that took the hype on Kabali to a whole new level.
The difference now with Kaala is that unlike Kabali, that came with no expectations and surprised everyone, the surprise factor would be missing. Even the music took the nation by storm, that may not be the case too, and it is for the same reason.
Kaala has no problem and opposition in Tamil, but in Telugu, it arrives right in the middle of two biggies Bharat Ane Nenu and Naa Peru Surya. A Kabali like hype would be perfect for Superstar here as that would lead to a massive opening, but if it fails in recreating that scenario, the release date could backfire. It makes teaser all the more crucial, and that is the reason why everyone is looking forward to March 1st with bated breath. Imagine if its another kick-ass tease like Kabali, all hell would break loose.
