Lights, camera, flop? It seems like the new trend in town is to drop movies on streaming platforms faster than you can say “action.” Take Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s Devil, for example – it hit OTT just two weeks after its theatrical debut. Producers are rushing to cut their losses, giving us early digital premieres of films that failed to sizzle on the big screen.
Enter Saindhav, Venkatesh’s 75th film, which promised to light up the Sankrathi festival. Sadly, it didn’t. Despite boasting big names like Venkatesh, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Shraddha Srinath, and Arya, and having Sailesh Kolanu at the helm, Saindhav sank faster than a lead balloon.

With poor music, lackluster promos, and a heavy theme, the film struggled from the start. Now, it’s making its grand digital entrance on Amazon Prime Video, just three weeks after its theatrical nosedive.
Will the OTT audience give Saindhav a second chance? With Venkatesh’s popularity and some curiosity about the film, there’s a small hope for redemption. The viewership in the initial few days would be decent as many didn’t watch it in theaters.
