Rereleases are the order of the day now. The latest big hero film to re release in theaters is Prabhas’s Yogi. And as usual, there’s some destruction associated with the same.
Going into the story, a theater screening Yogi in Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh took the brunt of the fans as they tore the silver screen. This happened while fans were dancing in front of the screen and fell on it. The screen got damaged in multiple places due to this incident.
Then there’s this another incident in a as yet unknown place where fans carried firecrackers inside the theater screening Yogi.
There are videos of fans bursting crackers and even heavy bombs inside the theater. All this while they enjoy and dance to the songs.
Celebrating a film is one thing, but doing things like bursting bombs inside theater and tearing away the screens is a different and unacceptable thing.
Theatrical industry is already in a slump with footfalls in general falling considerably. Untoward damages like this will only affect the theatre management further.
