Yet Another Biggie Takes Direct-To-OTT Route!

The Telugu film industry has random hits after the second wave. With the reception Seetimaarr has got, there is light at end of the tunnel. But then, things are still looking bleak for Bollywood. Maharashtra government is yet to allow the theaters to reopen.

In all the states across the country, audiences are reluctant to come to the theaters. So, more and more films are looking at a Direct-to-OTT route. Vicky Kaushal’s Sardar Udham Singh directed by Shoojit Sircar has opted for a direct OTT release via Amazon Prime.

The movie will be out on the OTT Platform in the second week of October. Amazon will begin the promotions very soon. Sardar Udham Singh is the story of a Freedom Fighter who assassinated Michael O Dwyer in London, who is behind the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre in 1919.

Shoojit Sircar who is behind several blockbuster films like Vicky Donor, Madras Cafe, Piku, and Pink has directed the movie. His earlier film, Gulabo Sitabo has also skipped its theatrical release and arrived directly on Amazon Prime Video.
