Young Gen Director Wasting His Time & Talent

Tharun Bhascker emerged as one of the promising directors with the blockbuster hit Pelli Choopulu. His next film, Ee Nagaraniki Em Ayyindi, didn’t become a big hit, but it has developed a cult following on social media due to the meme factor. Overall, Tharun is considered to be one director whose films have a connection with the youth.

But of late, Tharun has been concentrating on doing inconsequential roles in films and web series. Recently he has done the role of Madonna Sebastian’s husband in one of the episodes of the anthology series Anger Tales. After seeing the episode, no one knows what attracted Tharun to do such a unidimensional role that had no ‘meat’ (pun intended).

The general perception is that Tharun Bhascker is a talented director, and he should put all his focus on making good, entertaining films. Doing such forgettable roles will do his career no good.

His next directorial is titled Keeda Cola, which is a crime comedy. There are no major stars in the film, but Tharun claims that he is re-introducing Brahmanandam in a never before seen role in the film.
