Zero Expectations on Today’s Release

This is a rare case where a star hero’s movie is ready for release but with zero expectations. Here, the point of discussion is Suriya’s Friday release ‘Kaappaan’ that was dubbed into Telugu as ‘Bandobast’.

Suriya used to enjoy a decent fanbase in Telugu, and he still does. However, his career has been suffering from a series of flops. If that wasn’t enough, the trailer the makers chose to release created zero expectations on the movie.

We are talking about the Telugu dubbing version of the movie. There isn’t any buzz on the movie. For his previous movies, Suriya took Telugu version as seriously as his Tamil version and promoted his movies in the Telugu States, as well.

Now, things have changed. The star’s last release NGK was a disaster. In the recent past, it’s hard to say if he really had any decent time and that’s how long he hasn’t had a decent hit. What is left to see is, if he can surprise this time and deliver a hit.
