RaPo Went From 72 Kgs to 84 For Skanda

Ram Pothineni is coming up with another mass actioner with Skanda which is releasing in theaters on the 28th of this month. This is a full blown action thriller in proper Boyapati Sreenu style.

Now, Ram has revealed the efforts that went into the making of Skanda. “I was lean and weighed 72 kilos before we started Skanda, but then I decided to put on weight. This is the only way I could justify the mass and raw power of the character we conceived. I gained 12 kilos and went to 84 kilos.”

Ram says Boyapati had prepared a full-blown mass film for him and so, he had to go the extra mile to do full justice for the same.

It should be a massy experience to watch Ram in such an unapologetically mass role that extracts the very best of him. He will turn into a true Boyapati hero for the film.

Skanda is a mass actioner releasing on the 28th of this month and it has Ram and Sree Leela in the lead roles. Thaman is composing the music for the film.
