1000 Crore for Infrastructure in CRDA!

crda act in apUnion Urban Development Ministry is likely to release 1000 Crore for the infrastructure development in CRDA limits. Earlier Venkaiah Naidu recommended Union Finance Ministry to release 1000 Crore for the capital construction but the Center sent back the file saying that it can not release the funds as the Detailed Project Report (DPR) is not ready.

So, 1000 Crore is being sanctioned to the development of infrastructure in the municipalities of Vijayawada, Guntur, Tenali and Mangalagiri. This 1000 Crore will be used to development of facilities like Roads, Sewage maintenance, drinking water facilities etc.

These funds will be released based on the proposals sent by the municipalities. It is known that the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act mandates the central government to bear all the expenses of the capital construction. The Master Plan of the capital will be readied by June and the DPR will be prepared after that.
