Going into the story, the victim, Amarnath warded off a local YSRCP activist named Venkateswara Reddy for troubling his sister.
Venkateswara Reddy was enraged by the 15-year-old Amarnath reprimanding him for troubling his sister. In the recent past, he beat up Amarnath 2 times already.
Incidentally, what followed was gruesome and heinous. Venkateswara Reddy trapped Amarnath a couple of days ago while he was going to tuition and beat him badly. He then went on to tie the kid’s body and set him on fire.
Amarnath suffered severe burns and died in the hospital while receiving treatment. His last words were reportedly about the culprit, Venkateswara Reddy.
This shocking crime is now the burning topic in Andhra Pradesh. TDP supremo Chandrababu has tweeted about the same.
“A gruesome incident that has shaken our souls. 15-year-old Amarnath of Uppalavaripalem in Bapatla was burnt alive for standing up against criminals harassing his sister, reportedly a minor. Is this the Andhra Pradesh you want your children to grow up in?
@ysjagan used DISHA Act as a PR prop while failing miserably in his duty to protect the women of Andhra Pradesh. As a result, criminals have felt increasingly emboldened and have been harassing women across the state.” Naidu tweeted.
