Nikki Haley says she is proud to have been bought up in the US and says her parents always reminded her and her siblings as to how lucky they were to be in the country. She also says she is neither black nor white but brown and feels the responsibility to deal with fiscal issues, border issues, and various other contentious issues in the US.
Incidentally, she served as US ambassador to the United Nations under Trump. While Trump had already announced he would contest in 2024 though he shared with the media that he had told Haley to go ahead.
