AP government has proposed a new 4-lane highway at a cost of Rs 881.61 crore. The government is planning the highway between Perecherla-Kondamodu to reduce distances between Amaravati and Guntur region.
The 4-lane highway will be a huge help to those travelling between Guntur and Hyderabad. It will reduce the travel time between both the cities. The state government has declared it as a national highway.
The Perecherla-Kondamodu highway will meet at Vemuluripadu through Medikondur bypass. The officials have decided that to reach Amaravati Outer Ring Road from there, a 4-lane road of 3 km length will be laid from Perecherla to Palnadu Narsaraopet bridge.
They have estimated that Rs 50 crore will be required for this 4-lane road. The plan is to join this highway with Amaravati Outer Ring Road through Kondamodu road. This will help those travelling from Hyderabad, Palnadu regions.
On this highway, the vehicles coming from Kondamodu 4-lane highway will get on to 2-lane Guntur-Kurnool highway at Vemuluripadu. For this purpose, the 3 km stretch leading to Amaravati Outer Ring Road will be made into 4-lane road.
Following the expansion, travellers from Palnadu to Hyderabad and those from Hyderabad to Amaravati through Palnadu will get benefited.
