The investigation in phone tapping case is going on. SIT has already identified the people whose phones have been tapped. It is known that the victims are being called in phases to give their statements.
Now, the case has taken a new turn. SIT has seized the laptop and mobile of A1 ex SIB chief Prabhakar Rao. It is being said that the data on them will prove to be vital.
The laptop and mobile have been sent to FLS for data retrieval. They are trying to get a backup of the entire data between October, 2023 and March 15, 2024.
Meanwhile, Prabhakar Rao has been called to present himself before SIT on July 14.
It has already been reported that accused Prabhakar Rao and Praneeth Rao destroyed the hard drive and erased data.
They were involved in intercepting phone calls of politicians, businessmen, film personalities and other prominent people prior to 2023 Assembly elections.
