Already 300 cameras are in place in Tirupati and TTD is planning to put up more of them in thickly populated areas such as the Kalyanakatta, Annadana complex, the four mada streets, two ghat roads, areas near the forest and the bus stand parking place.

The project is estimated to cost around Rs 62 crore. Some companies are coming forward to donate cameras if they are given income tax exemption and TTD is working on that. The cameras will also include advanced features include auto focusing, face reading and video analysing.
