BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha, who was earlier arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and is under judicial custody at the Tihar Jail, has been arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today. The CBI arrested Kavitha for her alleged involvement in the Delhi Liqur Scam case.
On April 5, Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court allowed CBI to question Kavitha in jail concerning this case. As per the order, the CBI interrogated Kavitha yesterday and arrested her today.
Kavitha was arrested by the ED on March 16. As per the court’s order, Kavitha was sent to judicial custody at the Tihar Jail. Her remand has been extended till April 23. Now, uncertainty remains on her jail term as the CBI arrested her today.
Not only Kavitha but Delhi’s Chief Minister Aravind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodiya have also been arrested due to their alleged involvement in the same case.
