AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has finally ended the suspense. He confirmed that AIMIM will not contest the Jubilee Hills by-election. However, the party will stay active in the race by supporting Congress candidate Naveen Yadav.
Owaisi said the Jubilee Hills by-election represents the sentiment of 3.9 lakh voters, not just one candidate. He criticised BRS for failing Jubilee Hills, saying they wasted ten years in power without real progress despite having both the Chief Minister and the MLA.
He added that AIMIM will not field a candidate in Jubilee Hills. Owaisi urged voters to recognise how BRS’s vote share dropped from 37% in the Assembly elections to 15% in the Parliament polls within five months. He warned that this shift benefited the BJP and called to stop its growth.
Owaisi also blamed BRS for the by-election, saying it happened because they renominated Maganti Gopinath despite knowing about his illness in 2023.
