Andhra Pradesh government is planning the stone breaking ceremony of Andhra Pradesh’s new capital before June 2nd, 2015. The ceremony will be held on coming Ugadi day on 21st March and May 28th NTR’s Jayanthi will be the fall back option.
Government is planning to complete the entire land pooling exercise by March next year and the development of the collected land is expected to take nine months to one year after the stone breaking ceremony. It is also revealed that the participation of Singapore government in the capital building is also more or less confirmed and an MOU will be signed between both the governments very soon.
Naidu wants capital city to be fully operational by 2016. Capital city will have 44-storey skyscraper to house the Secretariat and a 22 KM garden is being planned along the Krishna river on the lines of Brindavan Gardens.
This information is revealed by highly placed sources in Telugu Desam Party. It is said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu may take a decision on the exact date after he arrives from the Japan tour. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several central level leaders are expected to grace the event. If the goverment couldn’t meet the deadline for Ugadi date, then the Stone breaking ceremony will be held on 28th May which marks NTR’s birth anniversary.
