Former Minister and YCP leader Ambati Rambabu took a sarcastic dig at the Telangana government’s meeting with the Telugu film industry bigwigs. He said that “sofas” may have to reach the government to solve all issues related to the film industry.
The Sandhya Theatre stampede issue landed not only Allu Arjun but the entire Telugu film industry in trouble. Recently, CM Revanth Reddy stated that the government would not allow any benefit shows or premieres for films from now on and would not hike ticket rates either.
On top of it, there is a continuous investigation happening in the stampede case where Allu Arjun is being constantly questioned by the police.
To address these issues, Telugu film industry celebrities, along with TFDC Chairman Dil Raju, met Revanth Reddy and a few other Telangana ministers today in Hyderabad.
Both government and film industry representatives discussed various issues to manage the concerns between the two. However, there was no clarity on Allu Arjun’s issue through this meeting.
Taking a dig at the proceedings of this meeting, Ambati Rambabu said that sofas may have to reach the government to solve the issue completely.
This sarcastic statement is a reference to the popular sofa scenes in Allu Arjun’s latest film Pushpa 2, where the protagonist bribes politicians with sofas filled with money to get his work done. Rambabu suggested that the same thing should happen in real life to solve the Allu Arjun issue.
Meanwhile, netizens are questioning whether the YCP government has also made such sofa transactions to get things done during its tenure and wondering if Ambati Rambabu is indirectly admitting that his government used to work only when sofas were delivered.
