During the opening ceremony of VR School, Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy made some controversial statements. He shared his inhibitions about the change of VR high school.
He said VR School was being overseen by his family. If the Municipal Minister extends support for the development of the school, will it become a corporation school, Anam questioned.

The 150-year-old VR School in Nellore that was shut down in 2021, was re-inaugurated by HRD Minister Nara Lokesh. Rs 15 crore was spent on it and 1000 students were enrolled.
