Anantapur Mesmerized with Independence Day Celebrations!

Drought ridden Anantapur rejoiced as the town celebrated Independence day with the fervor with the state government celebrating the eve officially there for the first time. This is the third Independence day celebration after the state division and the first two happened in Kurnool and Vishakapatnam.

The celebrations happened at the local Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy Stadium as Naidu hoisted the National flag. 5000 People present in the stadium cheered for the National flag. The entire town is lit with Saffron, White and Green as people and business establishments played their part in the celebrations.

DGP Sambasiva Rao and various high-level government officials came to Anantapur and supervised the arrangements and security personally. Immediately after the event, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu rushed back to Vijayawada to monitor the Krishna Pushkaralu arrangements.
